This beautiful color shift synthetic sapphire is a rare find in a Victorian ring.  In varying light the stone turns from blue to purple.  The stone is cut with a small table and chunky facets, suitable for the time period.  The sapphire measures about 6.5mm, calculating to over 1ct.  At the top of the ring, the band curves slightly on top and on bottom to make room for the stone.  The band has not been polished to preserve the bloom of the gold.  It measures just over 5mm at the base and widens very slightly at the top.  The ring is crafted in solid 14k yellow gold and weighs 7.37g.  It is currently a size 8.75 and can be resized before shipment for a fee, please ask for a quote in your size before placing your order.
