Exquisite Victorian Antique Engraved Round Locket with Diamond Center in 14k Yellow Gold

This locket is superb. The engraving is done with a floral design in the center, from which curls and scrolling designs emanate. The back of the locket is decorated the same as the front, sans diamond. Even the triangular shaped bail is engraved. The center diamond is an Early Modern Brilliant cut natural diamond. It measures 4.2mm, calculating to 0.31cttw. The diamond is VS2 or better in clarity and is bright white- G/H color. Interestingly the locket opens from the left side and reveals a 14k stamp on the upper right with the ability to put a photo or momento on either side. Including the bail the piece measures 1 3/4" in height and it is 1 5/16" across in width. The locket weighs 11.83g.
