Probably the most intricate we've seen, this Etruscan revival style diamond locket is an incredible piece of art and history. The diamonds are Old Mine cut and total approximately 0.25cttw. They sit atop rose gold stems with leaves in green gold. The entire piece is replete with granulation and twisted rope detail. The locket opens in the back with an opening that hinges upward, with plenty of room for mementos or a photo. It snaps securely shut. The locket is not stamped but acid tests for 14k and has a higher karat bloom still visible in areas. In terms of size, it measures about 2 7/8" in length including the bail.
