Incredible Vintage Garnet and Diamond Custom Necklace in 14k Yellow Gold

One custom made garnet, diamond and cat's eye chrysoberyl necklace in 14k yellow gold.  The necklace features domed slightly curved links.  There are four bezel set pear cut diamond stations in the chain and a central pendant.  The pendant holds an oval fantasy cut garnet held with four prongs.  The garnet is surrounded by a spray of round prong set diamonds.  At the top of the drop a round diamond is bezel set.  Connecting on top of the bezel set diamond is another spray of diamonds connecting to links holding round channel set diamonds and a cat's eye chrysoberyl on either side.  The necklace is stamped 14k and weighs 36.17g.  It measures 19" in length plus the pendant adds about 1 3/4".  The four pear cut diamonds measure 6 x 4mm or ~0.37ct each.  They are G/H color and SI clarity and total 1.48cttw.  The round diamonds measure from 1.5mm to 4.0mm and total approximately 2.11cttw.  They average G/H color and VS2 clarity.  The garnet measures 17.06 x 13.43mm. calculating to about 16.42ct.  The chrysoberyl's measure 2.7mm and total 0.24cttw.  A full insurance appraisal is available upon request.  P.S. This is an amazingly detailed and beautiful ruby ring. The color of the stone is a rich purplish red ruby/sapphire. It really sits on the line of being a ruby vs. sapphire because it has dominant hues of red and purple. It has great sparkle and flashes of red and blue can be seen. The setting on this ring is incredible- it was designed and cast in wax by hand. The center stone is held with four prongs that split into two at the top. The stone is immediately flanked by small round stones pave set into a small triangular shape. This beautiful ring features a 1.18ct natural, strongly purplish red ruby. The stone is held with four double prongs and it is flanked by two round diamonds set in triangle shapes with mill grain detail. A rounded marquise shape laying east/west frames the center details. The shanks are made in a micropave style with the band having dimension coming to a soft mill grain ridge in the middle then smoothing to a smooth high polished band. The diamonds reach halfway down the shank. There is also a special surprise under the center setting in the under gallery: a small upside down curve encrusted with diamonds gently hugs the top of the finger. This is the kind of special detail that can be seen when a ring is made by hand. The total diamond weight is .58ctw and the color and clarity are F/G, VS2. The total ring weight is 5.4g and it is a size 6.65. The ring is handcrafted in solid 18k white gold. This is an heirloom piece and will bring joy to generations of women.
