Antique GIA Certified Old Mine Cut Diamond Solitaire Engagement Ring from 1883

Its only once in a great while that we come across a ring as special as this one.  Inscribed March 1 1883, the ring's low profile shows off the large diamond beautifully and the thick band compliments perfectly.  A rarity to see in rings, the 1.76ct Old Mine cut diamond has a GIA report- see photos- and absolutely gleams.

The diamond measures 7.37 x 6.86 x 5.10.  It is a K color VS2 clarity with no fluorescence.  (GIA 2231949295).  This Old Mine cut is full of chunky facets and the blocky patterns of sparkle we all love from antique hand cut diamonds.  Its particularly beautiful in candlelight.
