Exceptional Antique Victorian Lion Shield Locket with Sardonyx and Bloodstone in 14k Yellow Gold

One of the best lockets we've ever seen, this lion topped piece will be a highlight in any connoisseur's collection.  The locket features a figural lion in three dimensional gold, both the front and back of him are dimensional.  He presides over a shield shaped locket with an insignia of C and W on the front in sardonyx, and a gorgeous slice of bloodstone on the back.  The locket is detailed all over with engraving patterns.  It opens and snaps cleanly.  It opens to reveal the back sides of the stones and the original frame mounts.  Including the bail the locket measures 1 3/4" in height and it is about 7/8" across in width.  The piece is crafted in 14k (acid tested) and weighs 11.57g.  The chain is available as a separate purchase.
